In a world where climate is unpredictable all year round, the people turn to building environments inside to keep nature alive. A futuristic take on a selected location from the Montreal Underground Metro. The art piece in the Palais de Congres of large pink trees is re-imagined to be a real environment where people can get a taste of nature in a world ravaged by climate change.
This was a collaborative blender project with Margaret Beaumont-Savvas. We were tasked with turning a pre-existing space into a futuristic environment. We chose a place from the Palais de Congres in Montreal, QC. There was an art piece meant to mimic trees so we decided to re-imagine it into a space with actual trees, where the outside environment can be brough inside. Working together we modelled the entire scene ourselves including a brand new fountain, trees lining the space and comfortable seats on the grass. The lighting was a combination of the fountain lights and purple lights to help the trees survive indoors.
